Katy Green

Portland, OR, USA

Katy’s work centers around catalyzing cultural change within institutions through deep-listening, building trust and centering belonging--one story at a time. She has over 17 years in learning development, interdisciplinary and systems thinking, project management and diversity and inclusion roles in public, private, and non-profit settings. She believes that at the intersection of diversity & inclusion, transformative leadership, organizational development, and wellness, sits belonging. Katy has worked at Snap Inc. and with Nike and Global Sessions facilitating deep listening, team building, collaboration, and developing workshops to increase a culture of belonging and innovation.

She holds a M.A. from Antioch University in Education; Leadership and Social Justice and a B.A. of Philosophy of Interdisciplinary Studies, from Miami University, Oh. She is a trained Council Facilitator with the Ojai Foundation, has a certificate from the Emotional Intelligence and Diversity Training at UCLA, and undergone multiple diversity and inclusion trainings with Visions Inc, and AWARE Los Angeles. She holds a Y.A. certificate from Mount Madonna and The Tree of Life and has studied yoga and meditation with Amritanandamayi in Kerala and yoga with Amritananda Saraswati at Devipuram. Additionally, she studied meditation at Insight L.A. and is (almost!) a blackbelt in the internal martial arts style Ba Gua Zhang. She’s a wife, a mother and always ready for a dance-off challenge or an impromptu jam session.
